Sentence court

The following defendants were sentenced Jan. 18 by Common Pleas Judge Joseph Kubit.

Dustin J. McFadden, 22, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 12 months of probation after pleading guilty to a charge of false reports filed by Butler City police following an April 6 incident.

Michael K. Richard, 64, of Emlenton, was sentenced to serve 24 months of probation, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and have no contact with the victim after pleading guilty to charges of terroristic threats and resisting arrest filed by state police following an Aug. 3 incident in Allegheny Township.

Jonathan M. Fusaro Podobensky, 32, of Butler, was fined $150 after pleading guilty to a disorderly conduct charge filed by Butler City police following a Nov. 5, 2022, incident.

Christie Lynn Boby, 41, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 12 months of probation after pleading guilty to a retail theft charge filed by state police following a Jan. 29, 2023, incident in Center Township.

Carl A. Wheaton, 40, of Farrell, was sentenced to serve from time served to 23 months in prison after pleading guilty to a resisting arrest charge filed by Cranberry Township police following an Aug. 10, 2022, incident.

Lashon Newman, 27, of New Castle, was sentenced to serve 18 months of probation and pay $1,905 in restitution after pleading guilty to an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle charge filed by Slippery Rock University police following a May 4, 2015, incident.
