4:30 p.m. Thursday — A van driven by Lawrence McCandless, 77, of Oakland Township and a pickup truck driven by Greg Powers, 20, of Emlenton collided at West Cunningham and West Jefferson streets.

Thursday — Police are investigating the reported theft of scrap metal from the Stanzione scrapyard on Brewer Road in Clinton Township. Police3:31 a.m. Sunday — John Kamerer, 33, of 460 Isle Road, Butler, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and use/possession of drug paraphernalia after police found suspected heroin and crack cocaine in a vehicle they had warrant to search after the vehicle was towed to a garage. Police initially saw a vehicle in a driveway at 570 Lindsay Road with the dome light on and investigated it to check if the vehicle had belonged to a man that was searching the back seat.3:05 p.m. May 10 — Wayne Dodson, 41, of 607 S. Washington St., Evans City, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, careless driving and following too closely after a traffic stop on Route 68 after police said the driver was following too closely behind the cruiser.10:25 p.m. May 5 — Jason E. Getty, 17, of 306 McKim St., Apt. D, Zelienople, was charged with minor operating a vehicle with alcohol in system, purchase/consumption/possession/transportation of liquor, driving under the influence of a controlled substance, use/possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and driving without a license following a traffic stop on Hartmann Road.
