Mike Oesterling, who owns the field, said he decorates the characters for different holidays, this time featuring a groundhog for Groundhog’s Day and a Teddy bear for Valentine’s Day. Oesterling said he plans to next feature a leprechaun and bunny rabbit for St. Patrick’s Day and Easter.”I do it just for fun,” he said. “All the kids and neighbors like it.” Oesterling also challenged other farmers to follow his lead and create decorative characters to celebrate the holidays.
