Julia Thompson
Julia Ann Schosser Thompson, 85, of Springfield Township, Mercer County, died at 3:05 a.m. Monday at the Grove City Medical Center.
Born Jan. 1, 1922, in Stoneboro, she was a daughter of Joseph and Mary Egger Schosser.
She was a member of the Church of the Beloved Disciple, Grove City, where she was active in the funeral dinners. She also belonged to the AARP of Springfield Township.
Surviving are a daughter, Julia A. Kummer and her husband, Richard, of Butler; two sons, Joseph Thompson and his wife, Elsie, of Newark, Ohio, and Robert "Don" Thompson and Shari of Volant; a brother, John Schosser of West Middlesex; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Glenn W. Thompson, whom she married Aug. 3, 1948, died Feb. 5, 1992. Five brothers, three sisters and a great-granddaughter also preceded her in death.
<B>Thompson</B> — Friends of Julia Ann Thompson, who died Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, 1778 Perry Highway, Leesburg. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Church of the Beloved Disciple, Grove City, with the Rev. Mark Hoffman officiating. Burial will be at Carpenter Cemetery, Springfield Township, Mercer County.A vigil service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
