Donald C. Henry
Donald C. Henry, 82, of Lewistown, formerly of Boalsburg, died Sunday at Ohesson Manor in Lewistown.
He was born in Graysville, July 15, 1926, to the late Roy C. and Madeline (Campbell) Henry.
On Oct. 10, 1947, he married the former Jacqulyn R. Hill, who survives.
He was employed as a plumber for years at the Rockview Correctional Facility.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the European theater during World War II. He was a member of VFW Post 5825 in Pine Grove Mills, the Elks, the Hosler Hunting Club, the Harris Township Fish and Game, the Bellefonte Undine Fire Company and the Boalsburg United Church of Christ.
Mr. Henry enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and bowling, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Dr. Larry Henry and his wife, Sally, of Chicora and Gary Henry and his wife, Mary, of Lewistown; five grandchildren, Jason Henry of Pittsburgh, Ashlee Henry of Lewisburg, Tyler Henry of Carlisle and Julie and Jessica Henry, both of Lewistown; one sister, Evelyn Henry Bailey and her husband, Richard, of Boalsburg; and one sister-in-law, Jane Henry of Belleville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Henry.
<B>HENRY</B> — A visitation for Donald C. Henry, who died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008, will be held Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral services at 2 p.m. at the <B>Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services</B>, 1034 Benner Pike, State College, Centre County Memorial Park, with the Rev. Ann Graves officiating.
