Members of the church will participate in the annual picnic and softball marathon hosted by the Association of Independent Baptist Churches of Western Pennsylvania. The event will be held Saturday at Slippery Rock Baptist Camp, 130 Elliott Lane, Slippery Rock. Pastors and church delegates will meet at 9 a.m. and tournament play will begin at 9:30 a.m. Picnic activities will begin at 10 a.m., followed by a lunch at noon. The Calvary Quartet from South Carolina will perform during the lunch hour.

Jennifer Haddox will speak on her recent trip to Turkey at the Sunday services at Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia. The Rev. John Abraham, a medical missionary in India, will offer a Minute for Missions and will also speak to the adult Sunday school class.
There will be no Sunday evening youth group during August.
Middle school children will leave Monday for The Great Escape in Johnstown.

The sacrament of the Lord's Supper will be celebrated at the 6 p.m. Saturday and 10:30 a.m. Sunday services at Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St.
Clean, used children's clothing to be donated for the school sale can be placed on the stage area in fellowship hall through Aug. 17.
The youth cooking camp will run 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday through Aug. 13.
