Annie Moses Band plays University Union
SLIPPERY ROCK — The Annie Moses Band brings its show “The Art of the Love Song” to Slippery Rock University’s University Union at 2 p.m. Oct. 23.
A blend of folk and classical music, the Annie Moses Band is made up of six musicians who combine technical skill with showmanship in Nashville-style music-making.
The band has performed at Carnegie Hall and the Grand Ole Opry and recently completed its first tour in London and Paris.
The band’s “The Art of the Love Song” presents some of the greatest love songs written, including “Evergreen,” “And I Love You So,” “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” and “And I Love Her.”
In addition to Moses, the band consists of Alex Wolaver, Benjamin Wolaver, Camille Da Silva, Gretchen Wolaver and Jeremiah Wolaver.
Tickets are $22 for adults; $20 for senior citizens; $18 for those 17 and younger; $8 for SRU students, and $18 for SRU alumni. Light snacks and beverages will be available.
The Performing Arts Series continues Nov. 10 with the Australian acrobatics ensemble Gravity and Other Myths.
