Gertrude Cypher

Gertrude "Gert" Cypher of Herman celebrated her 90th birthday with a family dinner and card party.

The former Gertrude Michel was born Dec. 3, 1919. She married Leroy "Roy" Cypher on Oct. 24, 1944, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Herman. He is deceased.

She has two children, Rose Stumpe of Herman and Jeannie White of Butler.

She also has six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Cypher enjoys playing cards, reading and sewing aprons.

She is a lifelong member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church.
