Wednesday — Police accused Saige A. Knapp, 22, of Cabot of making off with hundreds of dollars in stolen checks belonging to a group home for recovering alcoholics and drug addicts.Knapp admitted that he stole three pre-signed checks from the Oxford House on Eau Claire Street, according to court documents, that were cashed in June and July for a combined $840. He blamed “a drug problem” for his actions, police said.Knapp was arraigned on charges of forgery and access device fraud, both felonies, and misdemeanor counts of theft and receiving stolen property, and released on his own recognizance.

Thursday — Police obtained an arrest warrant for Heather Ann Wagner, 33, of Butler on misdemeanor drug charges after they allegedly found suspected marijuana and related contraband in her possession at a local hotel. Wagner is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.State Police, Butler2:08 a.m. Thursday — Andrew D. Wilson, 24, and Noel D. Previty, 21, were arrested after an altercation at their home on Crystal Lane in Mercer Township. Both were arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment. Previty is also charged with disorderly conduct.Following arraignment, Wilson and Previty were placed in the Butler County Prison on $2,500 bail each.

7:40 a.m. Thursday — Sport utility vehicles driven by Melissa M. Feilke, 40, of Mercer and Victor P. Miskolitz, 65, of Hermitage collided at West Main Street Extension and George Junior Road in Pine Township. Police said Feilke was cited for making an improper left turn.3:20 p.m. Wednesday — A woman was hurt when she lost control of her car and crashed into a ditch on Old Ash Road about one mile north of Route 208 in Springfield Township. Jacquelin A. Stenstrom, 18, of Sharon, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Grove City Medical Center with minor injuries. Police said she was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.12:25 p.m. Wednesday — A teenager was injured when the minivan she was driving struck a utility pole along Lake Road, just north of Thompson Road in Sandy Creek Township. Elisabeth A. Stevenson, 19, of Greenville, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to UPMC Horizon in Greenville with minor injuries.5:25 p.m. Tuesday — Two people were hurt in a rear-end collision on South Center Street Extension at George Junior Road in Pine Township. The crash happened when an SUV driven by Avery N. Jackson, 22, of Indianapolis, Ind., struck the back of an SUV driven by Stephen J. Fulton Jr., 21, of Lake Ann, Mich.Jackson and Fulton, who were wearing seats, both suffered minor injuries. Police said Jackson was cited for careless driving.
