9:39 a.m. Thursday — Melissa Kurtz, 34, of Renfrew was charged with driving too fast for conditions after she crashed into the back of another vehicle.Katherine Vrbanic, 22, of Glenshaw was slowing down to turn into the driveway of a Meridian Road home when her car was hit by Kurtz's Dodge Durango.6:10 p.m. Thursday — Tabetha Drnek, 25, of Butler was injured after her car struck a utility pole along North Eberhart Road near New Castle Road.Drnek was transported the Butler Memorial Hospital. Her 2013 Subaru sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene.8:40 p.m. July 20 — Neil Mcgonigle, 46, of Butler was charged with DUI after striking another vehicle in the parking lot of Verizon Wireless.McGonigle was pulling out of a parking space when he struck a Ford Explorer, which was occupied by Christine Wokutch, 56, of Butler.McGonigle fled the scene but Wokutch was able to catch him in the parking lot of Walmart, police saidPolice said they found McGonigle to be intoxicated upon their arrival.

July 25 — Unknown suspects broke into a garage of a home on Mercer Road in Sandy Lake Township and stole $6,800 worth of tools.The suspects forced open the garage door and took off with several items, including a Miller welder, an air compressor, tool boxes, and several wrenches and sockets.
