9:41 a.m. Monday — Brandon Norris, 21, of Butler turned himself in on warrant. He was taken to the Butler County Prison on $7,500 bond.4:53 a.m. July 14 — Tyler Hensel, 18, of Butler was charged with DUI after police found him passed out in his car on North Chestnut Street.Hensel was in the driver's seat with the key in the ignition when police found him. He failed to do several field sobriety tests before he was arrested and asked to take a blood test.Hensel admitted to taking the drug Ativem, for which he did not have a prescription.The blood test came back positive and Hensel was charged.
Thursday — A car driven by Rebecca Howes, 53, of Lyndora caught on fire after the left front tire rod broke while she was driving on Whitestown Road. The fire was quickly extinguished, but the car needed to be towed.
Friday — State police assisted the U.S. Marshall's office in a search for an Emlenton man wanted by the Lawrence County Sheriff and the Mercer County District Attorney.A vehicle believed to be operated by Kevin L. McFadden, who is the wanted man, was found in the woods along Pleasant Valley Road in Cherry Township.State police from Butler, Franklin, Mercer and New Castle, as well as a state police aviation unit assisted in the search, which yielded no results.
