Co. gets nat'l award
CRANBERRY TWP — A township company received the highest recognition the federal government gives out to U.S. exporters.
Preservation Technologies was named a 2017 President's “E” Award winner for making significant contributions to the expansion of U.S. exports. The company will receive congressional citations June 19 at its headquarters on Thomson Park Drive.
The Cranberry Township company was one of 16 companies honored with the “E” Award for Exports for demonstrating a sustained increase in export sales over a four-year period. The winning companies were honored May 22 in Washington, D.C.
Preservation Technologies is the only Pennsylvania-based company to receive the award this year.
The company, established in 1992, developed a patented process to extend the life of books and manuscripts by neutralizing the harmful acids found in paper. More than 550,000 assets from library and archival collections are sent to Preservation Technologies facilities each year to be preserved, according to the company's website.
