Greenville has reached a milestone. Grove City has reached an early crossroad.
Jared Zuschlag scored on a 2-yard run with 7:31 left in the fourth quarter to give Greenville the go-ahead score and the 500th win in school history with a 21-14 football victory over Grove City Friday night.
Zuschlag rushed for 115 yards on 24 carries and also scored on a 3-yard run early in the second quarter for the game's first points.
Grove City (0-2) clawed back, tying Greenville (2-0) on a 6-yard run by quarterback Jim Jaskowak in the second quarter and pulling even again at 14 in the third quarter on a 2-yard plunge by Jesse Alfreno.
But the Eagles couldn't mount another comeback.
Alfreno finished with 54 yards rushing on 11 carries and also caught a 28-yard pass.
Jaskowak was just 9-of-25 for 133 yards for Grove City.
Keystone 26, Union 0 - Mike Switzer hit Kyle McMunn with three long scoring passes to help lift Keystone to a win over Union.
Both teams entered the game after suffering blowout losses the week before and were outscored 93-0.
Keystone (1-1) led 13-0 at halftime following 39-yard and 35-yard touchdown passes from Switzer to McMunn.
In the fourth, the duo hooked up again on a 39-yard scoring strike.
Switzer was 5-of-11 for 144 yards and McMunn finished with three catches for 113 yards and three scores.
Union was held to 187 total yards and 68 yards rushing.
Erin Pettit scored a goal in the first half and Nichole Reiser added another in the second half to lead Knoch to a 2-1 win over Mars Friday afternoon.Katie Heckman scored the Planets' only goal.
