HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP

Jen Schwab and Rachel Cleary each scored a goal to lead the Butler girls soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Shaler Monday.

Lisa Rodgers earned the shutout in net for the Tornado (8-6-2, 7-3-1).

Butler will host Seneca Valley Thursday in the section finale.

Seneca Valley 1, Pine-Richland 0 - Cassie Berlin scored the game's only goal at 3:05 of the second half.

Knoch 2, Highlands 1 - P.J. Abels and Erin Pettit scored for the Knights (12-6-1), who are fighting for the third and final playoff spot from Section 7-AAA.

Slippery Rock 12, Conneaut Valley 0 - Beth Reefer scored four goals while Jence Rhoads and Robin Craig both added two goals for the Rockets.

Allison Perry had the shutout in goal.

Grove City 6, Kennedy Catholic 0 - Ashley McKnight scored three goals and had an assist, Christy Allison scored twice and added an assist and Jess Nichols scored once in the win.

Emma Stapleton and Tori McBride shared the shutout in goal for the Eagles (11-0-1, 8-0-1).

Katrina Erdahl, Christine Clark and Brittany Barnes each won their singles matches to help the Mars girls'team to a 5-0 victory over Knoch Monday. Knoch 3, Riverview 0 - Leanne Wiefling had 12 service points and Kirsten Brant had 10 service points to lead the Knights to a 25-14, 25-15, 25-18 non-section victory Monday.Knoch (8-2, 7-2) will host Ambridge today.
