Knoch's Lefevre fans 14 in 5-2 triumph over DL
John Lefevre struck out 14 and also doubled twice as Knoch upped its record to 3-0 with a 5-2 win over Deer Lakes in high school baseball action Friday afternoon.
Austin Leffler also doubled twice and drove in two runs for the Knights.
D.J. Cannon went 4-for-4 including a double and triple as Mars rolled over Riverview, 13-5.
Charlie Jaicks fanned seven batters in five innings of work to pick up the win for the Planets (2-3).
Kyle Petrucci collected two doubles and a single to lead Seneca Valley's 13-hit attack as the Raiders (2-1) beat Moon 11-5.
Jim McCaslin's two-hit day was not enough as Butler fell to Ellwood City, 9-2. Brian Bell took the loss for the Golden Tornado (0-3).
John Stumpner and Shawn Courson both tallied three hits, but A-C Valley dropped a 10-7 decision to Venango Cathlolic.
Clarion-Limestone exploded for nine runs in the first inning on its way to a 13-1, five-inning win over Union.
Moniteau's Nathan Markle struck out 12 batters in five innings of play as the Warriors and Keystone were tied at 4 when the game was called because of darkness.
The action will resume April 18 at Moniteau.

The Golden Tornado received one goal apiece from Jane Resnick, Megan Renwick and Caitlin West, but fell to the Ellis School 9-3.Butler (0-2) will host Shady Side Academy on Tuesday.
Butler 3, Hopewell 1 -Shaun Vincent had 10 points to lead the Tornado to a 25-23, 25-16, 24-26, 25-21 victory. The Butler junior varsity team won 25-8, 25-6, 15-3.
