Molloy hits 1,000 in Grove City loss

Julie Molloy scored 30 points and surpassed the 1,000-point plateau, but her Grove City High School girls basketball team fell to Wilmington 53-49 Saturday afternoon.

Molloy needed four points heading into the game and was shut out in the first quarter. She hit a jumper early in the second period and then followed it up with a 3-pointer to put her over 1,000.

The problem for the Eagles (8-6, 2-3) was the rest of the team only contributed 19 points.
