SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock University football team is ranked 23rd in the final D2Football.com national poll released Monday.

The Rock finished the season 9-3, had the PSAC West Offensive Athlete of the Year in quarterback Nigel Barksdale along with second team All-Americans Quindell Dean at linebacker and James McCombie at punter.

SRU will have eight offensive starters and five defensive starters back next season.
