A documentary featuring the Zambelli Firerworks plant in New Castle will air at 10 p.m. July 2 on the National Geographic Channel.

"Secret World of Fireworks" explores secrets, recipes and fireworks techniques crafted by four generations of the Zambelli pyrotechnicians.

The show, produced by Marabella Productions of New York, also will air at 10 a.m. July 3 and 5 and 6 p.m. July 9.

The special also will shed light on what it takes to power Zambelli productions for the New Year's Eve show in Baltimore and the Ball Drop in Times Square.

Zambelli is doing the fireworks for the Freedom Celebration in Butler this weekend.
