Robert Shaner

Robert Shaner of Muddy Creek Township celebrated his 90th birthday with a family dinner at Lighthouse Assembly of God in Ellwood City.

He was born Jan. 27, 1925, in Boyers. He married the former Lela Wise on Sept. 8, 1951, in Newport, Ky.

Shaner has three children, Brenda McCormick of Ellwood City, Mark (Diane) Shaner of Ellport and Eileen Shaner of Port St. Lucie, Fla.

He also has five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Shaner served with the U.S. Navy Air Force in World War II and retired from Blaw Knox in Ellwood City.

He is a member of Portersville Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
