2:09 p.m. Monday — Ronald L. Earnest, 50, reported someone stole the license plate off his vehicle when it was parked in front of his 431 Shore Street home. The plate was valued at $84.7:07 p.m. Sunday — A two-car accident occurred at the intersection of West North Street and Wagner Avenue.A car driven by Richard Dufford Sr., 50, of Slippery Rock collided with a car driven by Terrance Sloan, 38, of Erie after he failed to stop before merging onto West North Street.There was no stop sign at the intersection.Neither driver was charged. Both cars had to be towed from the scene.4:50 p.m. Jan. 2 — A car driven by Amanda J. Jackson, 29, of Apollo struck the front of a car driven by Lynne C. Winter, 29, of Volant as Jackson was attempting to turn left from Brown Avenue onto Whippo Avenue.Winter attempted to stop but icy roads caused her to slide into the oncoming vehicle.Neither driver was charged.10:53 p.m. Jan. 1 — Robert E. Kennedy III, 21, of Butler reported someone broke into his locked truck through the rear window and stole two sub woofers valued at $200.
6:59 a.m. Dec. 27 — A car driven by Aaron Peterson, 30, of New Wilmington veered into the right lane of I-376 and struck the rear of a tractor-trailer driven by Kevin Campbell, 50, of Karns City in Union Township. Peterson, who received minor injuries, was cited for not saying within the lane.
The Butler County DUI Task Force, which is comprised of police from various departments, stopped 45 vehicles on New Year's Eve, resulting in three drunken driving arrests. Police also made two underage drinking arrests, issued seven traffic citations, issued 24 warnings and made three other arrests on other violations.
Wednesday — Thomas Boyer of Harrisville, whose age was not available, was charged with harassment after allegedly hitting Andrew Shipwash of Franklin on the side of his head at the King's Restaurant in Barkeyville.
