11:06 a.m. Thursday — Mark S. Owens, 36, of Butler was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and public drunkenness after he passed out in front of the Butler Fire Department.Police responded and found Owens unresponsive. While they searched for his identification, an officer found a small bag of marijuana in his pocket.Owens was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment.1:10 a.m. April 13 — Amanda E. Beary, 21, of Butler was charged with DUI, possession of a small amount of marijuana and careless driving after she struck a utility pole while driving along the 900-block of Center Avenue.Police responded to the crash to find the pole sheared in half and power lines hanging down.A witness said he saw the Jeep that struck the pole drive to the nearby Sheetz.Police went there and found Beary, who admitted she struck the pole while she was looking at her cell phone.Police said Beary was visibly intoxicated and was given a field sobriety test, which she failed.She was arrested and taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test. During a search of her vehicle, police found a small bag of marijuana.Beary's blood results came back with a .119 percent blood alcohol content. The legal limit to drive in Pennsylvania is .08 percent.

4:06 p.m. Thursday — A two-car accident occurred on Route 8 near its intersection with Litman Road.Township police said a car driven by Lori Shah, 45, of Grove City rear-ended a car driven by Deborah Randolph, 54, of Butler.Shah had unknown injuries. An 8-year-old passenger in her car was not injured.Police said Shah will be cited for driving at an unsafe speed.

5:47 p.m. Friday — Nichole Lei Hoerl, 35, of Center Township is facing charges after she was found to be in possession of drugs during a welfare check on a 7-year-old boy at her Jan Drive home.4:01 p.m. Friday — A 17-year-old girl was injured after she crashed her vehicle along Route 268 in Parker Township.The girl, who police did not identify, lost control of her vehicle while going around a curve in the road. The vehicle overturned onto its side and struck a guardrail.The girl was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital by Petrolia Ambulance with unknown injuries. She was wearing a seat belt.She was cited with driving at an unsafe speed.April 5 — Thomas P. Stein, unknown age, of Brady Township reported someone broke into a shed at his Staff Road home and stole a golf cart.March 26 — Melissa A. Webb, unknown age, of Brady Township reported someone broke into her Marigold Lane home and stole an Xbox 360 and 30 video games.

9:16 a.m. Thursday — Raymond L. Abplanalp, 58, of Grove City was charged with DUI after a traffic stop on East Main Street for a turn signal violation.
