4:23 a.m. Monday - Paul Desmond, 50, of 300 Walker Avenue was arrested for assaulting his 34-year-old daughter during a dispute at his home. Desmond was arraigned for simple assault and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $2,500 bond.1:56 a.m. Saturday - Ryan Hewett, 21, of 133 Monaco St. was arrested for driving under the influence at Cunningham and McKean streets. He was also cited for a traffic signal violation.9:51 p.m. Friday - Zachery Sawyer, 22, of 479 Main St., Prospect, was arrested on theft and other charges following a traffic stop in the city.Police said Sawyer was driving a car with a license plate previously taken from a vehicle in Butler Township. A pair of brass knuckles was also found in the car.Sawyer is charged with theft, receiving stolen property, possession of prohibited offensive weapons and undisclosed traffic violations.Jamie Eiler, 28, of 222 S. Bluff St., Butler, a passenger in the car, was also arrested after police learned she was wanted on a warrant. A search later found her with suspected drug paraphernalia, for which she was cited.

3:11 p.m. Thursday - Police responded to a call of a grass fire in a wooded area near Oakview Estates. The Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company put out the fire.

Saturday - Property was taken between 7 and 9 p.m. from two unlocked lockers at the Ice Connection skating rink on Route 8.Robert Wilt of Gibsonia, Allegheny County, said a Visa card was taken from his locker. Robert Keenan of Gibsonia said $10 was taken from his locker.10:30 p.m. Thursday - Casey Urmann, 17, of Valencia swerved his car to avoid a deer and struck a mailbox and tree along Denny Road.4 p.m. Wednesday - A car driven by Kent McGill, 47, of Zelienople and a sport utility vehicle driven by Robert Lasko, 77, of Cheswick, Allegheny County, collided at Route 228 East and Route 8.

3:50 p.m. Wednesday - Vehicles driven by Ronald Reiser Sr., no age given, of Fombell, Beaver County, and Lynda Frum, no age given, of Wampum, Lawrence County, collided at South Jefferson and New Castle streets.2:32 a.m. Nov. 9 - David Spignesi, 44, of 403 Perry Highway, Lancaster Township, was cited for careless driving and accidents involving damage to an unattended vehicle after police saw him drive into a parked car on New Castle Street.

1:30 a.m. Monday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Paula Campbell, 34, of Chicora struck a tree stump and rolled onto its roof along West Slippery Rock Road in Chicora.Police said another person, whom they did not identify, drove Campbell and Thomas Crawford, 44, of Chicora, a passenger in the SUV who suffered a moderate eye injury, away from the crash.2:10 a.m. Nov. 2 - Kattie Anne Taylor, 23, of Slippery Rock was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 173 in Slippery Rock Township.

10:15 a.m. Monday - A car driven by Kevin Gillespie, no age given, of Brockway, Jefferson County, and a tractor-trailer driven by David Leviere Jr., no age given, of Slippery Rock collided on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township.12:40 p.m. Sunday - A car driven by Adam Bright, 19, of Grove City and a pickup truck driven by Dustin Chemovits, 22, of Baden, Beaver County, collided on Route 528 and East Valcourt Road in Liberty Township, Mercer County. Bright was cited for an undisclosed traffic violation.
