Payerchin

Susan Jane (Gates) Payerchin passed away on Monday, Dec. 11, 2023.

She was born on Jan. 14, 1947, in Uniontown, Pa., to the late John Kennedy “Jack” Gates and Alice Barnes Gates.

She was a graduate of South Union High School, Class of 1964. She worked at Photographic photo supply store in Uniontown. She was a member of Seaman Memorial Lutheran Church in Zelienople.

Fondly remembering her are her husband of 56 years, Paul M. Payerchin Jr.; son, Paul M. Payerchin III and wife, Deborah, of Cranberry Township; daughter, Rebecca E. Beatty and husband, David of Lancaster, Pa.; son, John G. Payerchin and wife, Heather, of North Huntingdon, Pa.; daughter, Sarah E. Sewell and husband, Matthew, of Sterling, Va.; sister, Marjorie O. Gates, of Redmond, Wash.; brother, Dr. John K. Gates III and wife, Donna, of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and former daughter-in-law, Tonya V. Thompson.

Thank you to all whose love and care enriched Susan’s life, especially the doctors, nurses and aids in the Lutheran SeniorLife Passavant Abundant Life Center and Larkspur household, where she was a resident for three years.

PAYERCHIN — A memorial service for Susan Jane (Gates) Payerchin, who died Monday, Dec. 11, 2023, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024, at the Seaman Memorial Lutheran Church Chapel, at Lutheran SeniorLife Passavant, 105 Burgess Drive, Zelienople, followed by refreshments in the Scholl Conference Center. A private interment service will be held at Hope Lutheran Church Memorial Garden, on Rowan Road, Cranberry Township.

Memorial gifts in Susan’s memory may be given to the Organ Fund of Seaman Memorial Lutheran Church.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
