Clyde Fleeger

Clyde Fleeger, 88, of Butler, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 10, 2023.

He was born in Galveston, Texas, on Sept. 1, 1935, to the late Walter and Emily (Zimmerman) Fleeger.

After graduating from Butler High School, Clyde went on to serve his country honorably in the U.S. Army, 3rd Infantry Division. He was a participant of Operation Sagebrush in 1955. Clyde worked for Armco Steel until retirement.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, music, fast cars, baseball, hunting and fishing. Clyde was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 64 and the president of Center Township Baseball Association for nine years.

Clyde was the beloved husband of Emelda “Midge” Fleeger for 67 years; father of Linda (Brian) McKain, Timothy Fleeger and Kimberly Rusnak; brother of Gene (Margie) Fleeger and Anne Parenti; grandfather of Jeremiaha Fleeger, Tashawna (Alex) Giacco, Chelsea (JJ) McKain-Summerville, Sean Rusnak and Ronald Fleeger; and great-grandfather of Maxwell and Brandon Giacco. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and will be forever missed by Kelly Gifford.

Clyde was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth D. Fleeger; and grandson, Kenneth Jason Fleeger. Clyde was loved and will be missed.

FLEEGER — Services for Clyde Fleeger, who died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2023, will be held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
