Don't miss out Jeep parade spots going fast

ZELIENOPLE — The spots for the Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival parade are going fast.

More than 20 percent of the spots available for the parade in June already have been reserved less than a week after registration opened.

Patti Jo Lambert, an organizer and spokesman for the festival, said Monday the number of people already registered for the Jeep parade is more than double what it was at this time in 2014.

Lambert added she was shocked to see such strong registration numbers for the parade, which is again expected to break records for the number of Jeeps assembled in one place at the same time.

The parade will take place in Butler on the Friday night of the festival, which runs this year June 12-14. The event will take place both in Butler and at Cooper’s Lake Campground.

Nearly 600 people have registered for the festival, while nearly 500 of those also registered for the parade.

Lambert said she was surprised in the number of people who registered for both the festival and the parade.

“We typically see a huge response on the first and second day of registration, but then it tapers off,” she said. “That has been the trend for the last five years but this year, the response we’re seeing is really exciting.”
