Karen Miller
Karen Sue (Bond) Miller, 75, of Cranberry Township, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023, at UPMC Passavant-McCandless, surrounded by her loving family.
Born Sept. 10, 1948, in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Floyd E. and Florence (Spencer) Bond.
Karen was raised in Evans City and was a 1966 graduate of Seneca Valley High School. For many years, she was a homemaker and dedicated her time to raising her beloved daughters. She then worked many years for Walmart, before retiring.
Karen enjoyed traveling with her husband, Dave, and during their travels they visited all 48 continental states. She loved to bake and be outdoors. Karen enjoyed planting and growing beautiful gardens of roses, daisies and vegetables, decorated with wind chimes and gazing balls. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, loved to play cards and was seldom without a Pepsi in hand. Above all, Karen loved her family and was affectionately referred to as “The Boss.” She always ensured her family was taken care of, happy, loved and most importantly, together.
Karen was the beloved wife of David A. Miller; loving mother of Susan (Kenneth) Novak, Kathy (Donald) Schroeder, Sharon (the late Brian) Eddy and Bonnie (Mike) Pendergast; the cherished Grammal of Casey John (Katie), Jakob, Kennadie, Brittany (Brandon), Donovan, Alex, Jordan and Abigail; Great-Grammal of Abby and Savannah; loving stepmother of Wes (BJ) Miller, and stepgrandmother of Christopher and Harley. She also is survived by her loving sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Rick Manuel, and their sons, Matthew and Brandon; and many other nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved.
In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Sheila and Lanny Grenet, of Florida.
