He was cited for careless driving.1:15 a.m. Saturday - Driving under the influence charges are pending against Daniel C. Nail, 33, of Hilliards after he drove his truck into a field on Cemetery Road, Venango Township.12:30 a.m. Saturday - Thomas Simmons, 27, of Chicora, was arrested for simple assault, recklessly endangering and harassment after a fight with Holly Bailey, 20, and Ethan Simmons, 5 months, on Gamelands Road in Donegal Township. He was arraigned and is in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bond.4:50 p.m. Friday - Cars driven by Marissa Good of Greenville and Doris McClymonds of Portersville collided in front of the Dixie Motel on Route 19 in Muddy Creek Township. Goodsuffered moderate injuries, but her condition was not available this morning.

7:53 a.m. Sunday - Paul Edward Martin, 35, of 901 Meegan Ave., New Castle, is in the Lawrence County Prison on $25,000 bond after he led police on a high speed pursuit during which he rammed two state police cars.State police had tried to pull Martin over for a traffic violation, but he did not stop. He was chased through Union Township and New Castle. The chase ended when Martin rammed into the two police cruisers.He has been charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, fleeing and eluding, reckless endangering, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and several traffic violations.New Castle police helped to capture Martin.
