Gardina

Theresa P. Gardina, 84, of Butler passed away Tuesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

She was born in Butler, Nov. 9, 1926, the daughter of the late Paul and Irene Boschetti Grossi.

She was a retired secretary and bookkeeper at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church and Butler Catholic School. She also had worked at Butler Memorial Hospital as a bookkeeper.

Theresa was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, and the 55 and Alive and the Bereavement Group at St. Michael's. She also was a greeter at the church and was on the Welcome Committee at New Haven Court.

She is survived by one son, Bart P. Gardina of Butler; two sisters, Edith Monday and her husband, Tony, of Butler and Virginia Kadunce of Greensboro, N.C.; and a number of nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her husband, Salvatore Gardina, who passed away Feb. 12, 1962; two sisters, and one brother.

<B>GARDINA</B> — Friends of Theresa P. Gardina, who died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011, will be received in the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church on Friday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the St. Michael Cemetery.The Bereavement Group of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church will meet at the funeral home at 3 p.m. Thursday for a scriptural wake service.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Drive, Butler, PA.Information also is available at www.martinfh.net.
