Grace Zahradnik, 88, of Harrisville, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023.

She was born In Creighton, on Nov. 27, 1934, to the late Archibald and Ethel (Irvine) Armstrong.

Grace graduated from Slippery Rock University with a bachelor’s in library science. Grace was no June Cleaver, but she was loving and very protective of her children in her own way. Although she was afraid of horses, one time she saved her daughter Anne from harm by stopping a runaway pony Anne was riding. She was very brave when her kids needed her. Grace was a very active volunteer at Mars United Methodist Church. She loved reading literature, listening to classical music and traveling the country in an RV.

Grace was the mother of Robert Zahradnik Jr., Fredric Zahradnik and Anne Zahradnik; sister of Howard Armstrong and Richard Armstrong; grandmother of Brent, Alice, Laura and Robert III; and great-grandmother of Adilyn, William, Zoe and Ben.

Grace was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Zahradnik Sr.; and siblings, Arlene Sellers, Edward Armstrong and Ronald Armstrong.

ZAHRADNIK — Services for Grace Zahradnik, who died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023, will be held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
