David Fischer, 77, of Butler, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 19, 2023.

He was born in Butler, on May 2, 1946, to the late Carl and June (Anderson) Fischer.

After graduating from Knoch High School, David worked at Armco for more than 30 years as a machinist until retirement. He was known for being hardworking, and a good dad and husband who was caring and loving. David enjoyed building model airplanes, bowling and hunting in his spare time.

David was the beloved husband of Cynthia (Dunkle) Fischer since their marriage in 1967; father of Carolyn (Scott) Nagle, David (Kathi) Fischer Jr., Joseph (Shanell) Fischer, Gregory (Tamara) Fischer and Janise (Michael) Connell; and brother of Jeannie (Tom) Grooms, Robert (Linda) Fischer, Donnie (Maria) Fischer, Steve (Sherri) Fischer, James (Ginny) Fischer, Dale (Paula) Fischer and Katy (Bob) Weleski. He also is survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

FISCHER — Family and friends of David Fischer, who died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2023, will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. A prayer service will immediately follow in the funeral home.
