Ralph Day
Ralph “Dick” Richard Day, 100, of East Butler, passed away Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries at Cabot.
He was born July 16, 1923, in Petrolia and was the son of the late Ralph and Ethel Carolyn (Larimore) Day.
Dick was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in World War II. He was a member of Happy Hunters and the East Butler Fire Hall. Dick worked at Penn Champ and served as a mayor of East Butler.
Surviving are his three daughters, Jean Lumley of Butler, Patty (Ed) Nagy of Butler and Nancy (Gary) Neff of Butler; seven grandchildren, Staci, Brian, Brandi, Shawn, Angie, Amy and Dustin; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Regis and Larry Day; and three sisters, Joyce Collier, Cindy Coleman and Maxine (Jim) Kamerer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy May Day, who passed away on July 6, 2017; two brothers; and three sisters.
DAY — Friends of Ralph “Dick” Richard Day, who died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday followed by a service with military honors at 6 p.m. at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.
Private burial will be held in the North Butler Presbyterian Cemetery, Oakland Township.
