Kenneth D. Edinboro, 89, of Prospect, formerly of West Sunbury, passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 13, 2023, at Quality Life Services in Mercer.

He was born June 25, 1934, in Cherry Township, Pa., the son of the late Ernest G. Edinboro and Grace Ruth (McGarrah) Edinboro.

He was a member of Community Alliance Church and was a 1952 graduate of Moniteau High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during Korean War, and he retired from AK Steel. He was a member of the Model A Club and enjoyed woodworking, gardening and traveling.

Surviving are a son, Kenneth P. (Judith) Edinboro of Butler; three daughters, Judy L. (Greg) Weaver of Prospect, Susan E. (Zane) Stephenson of Portersville and Donna M. (David) Johnston of Slippery Rock; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Thelma Ford.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Helen Marie (Wilson) Edinboro; two brothers, Leslie and Ernest Edinboro; and three sisters-in-law, Betty and Vera Edinboro and Pauline Wilson.

EDINBORO — Friends of Kenneth D. Edinboro, who died Monday, Nov. 13, 2023, will be received from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 5 p.m. Thursday at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, with his cousin, Kenneth Thompson, officiating.

Military honors will follow the service.

Private interment will be in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
