Michael David Dobson, 68, of Butler, passed away at his residence on Friday, Nov. 10, 2023.

He was born on May 21, 1955, in Butler, to the late Harold Ward Dobson and the late Vivienne Ione Wampler Dobson.

Michael was a lieutenant of the Butler City Police, retiring in 2004 after 24 years of service. He was a member of the following organizations: Pilgrim Degree, Loyal Order of Moose 64; lifetime member of AMVETS; and lifetime member of Butler County Law Enforcement Officers Association.

Michael is survived by one son, Jason M. (Kimberly) Dobson of Butler; two daughters, Stacy A. Yoho of Connoquenessing and Ashley J. (Blane) Saeler of Butler; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Sandy Weitzel of Zelienople; and one brother, James (Joyce) Dobson of Butler.

DOBSON — Per his wishes, there will be no public visitation for Michael David Dobson, who died Friday, Nov. 10, 2023.

A memorial service/Pilgrim ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.

Memorial donations may be made to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 or the donor's favorite charity.
