Hoover

Richard K. Hoover, 72, of Butler, passed away the evening of Sunday, Nov. 12, 2023, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born on Aug. 29, 1951, in Kittanning, he was the son of the late Kenneth Hoover and Louise Stanford Hoover.

Richard worked at Pullman Standard until its closing and then worked at RGIS Inventory Company. He later worked at Clearview Auto. He was a member of the New Castle Harley Group, the Butler Car Club and the Moraine Sportsmen’s Club.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen M. (Rapp) Hoover, whom he married on May 27, 1978; one brother, Paul Hoover of Kittanning; one niece, Miranda; one nephew, Bobby (Sue) Floyd; and a very special brother from another mother, Jeff Knoblespease, and his wife, Jamie, and their children, Oliver and Willa Grace of Harrisville.

Richard was preceded in death by his foster brother, Bud Floyd, and Bud’s wife, Honey.

HOOVER — A celebration of life service for Richard K. Hoover, who died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2023, will be held at a future date.
