EVANS CITY — The Evans City Public Library will offer a free genealogy class from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the library, 204 S. Jackson St.

Take family tree information and discover what to keep, how to organize and where to find more information. Young adults and adults are welcome and no experience is necessary. Wireless Internet will be available. Take a laptop or tablet if desired.

Questions will be answered until 7:30 p.m.

Toys will be the focus of the Outdoor Discovery series program at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Masonic Shelter in Alameda Park.Unique and interactive toys for all ages will be demonstrated and available for play.The Outdoor Discovery series is a program of the Butler County Parks and Recreation Department.

Butler County Community College will have an adult student information session at 6 p.m. June 25 in the admissions office of the student success center on the main campus, 107 College Drive.Participants will learn about opportunities for adult learners at the college. A new four-day pre-kindergarten class will be offered this fall at Super Sprouts preschool at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road.Registration forms for the preschool's fall session are available at the church office or by calling 724-287-4462. SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock Library Friends will have a fundraising book sale from 4 to 7:30 p.m. June 27 and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 28 at the Slippery Rock Fire Hall, 162 Elm St.To donate books, call 724-406-0334 for pick up or drop donations off at the library, 316 N. Main St., during regular hours.

GROVE CITY — The 94th annual reunion of the Isaac Anderson and Lydia Warner family will be at 10 a.m. June 28 in the Highland Shelter at Grove City Park.Coffee will be at 11 a.m. and lunch at noon. A family photograph, meeting and games will follow.
