10:33 a.m. Saturday — ACenter Township man and woman were injured when their motorcycle and a car collided at Mercer Street and Maryland Avenue.Michael Patrick, 41, who was driving the motorcycle, and Ginger Patrick, 37, a passenger, were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries; neither was wearing a helmet, police said.Police cited the driver of the car, Brittany Kroll, 18, of Renfrew, with a stop sign violation.4 p.m. Friday — A16-year-old girl is accused of spitting in the face of a police officer during an altercation at East Brady Street near Butler Memorial Hospital.Police were called to assist employees of the Glade Run Lutheran Services youth home who were attempting to take the girl into custody. The girl, who authorities did not identify, became "combative" with officers and had to be restrained, a police report said.Police arrested the girl after she spit at one of the officers. She was later turned back over to youth home officials. Police charged the girl in juvenile court with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and harassment.
9:45 p.m. Sunday — Police are seeking the unknown driver of a black, 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee that struck an embankment on Church Hill Road in Lancaster Township, and then fled the crash site, leaving the vehicle behind.Police suspect alcohol could have been a factor in the crash. Anyone with information about the crash or the identify of the driver is asked to call the barracks at 724-284-8100.11:50 a.m. Sunday — Acar driven by Mark Schnelzer, 20, of Grove City struck the rear of two other cars at Route 173 and Kelly Boulevard in Slippery Rock. Police cited Schnelzer for driving too fast for conditions.Mike Richards, 22, of Grove City and Candace Hutchinson, 27, of Prospect were driving the cars that were hit in the crash.5:25 a.m. Sunday — Acar driven by Wendy Jo Fischer, 23, of Fenelton crashed into an embankment and rolled onto its roof after hitting a deer in the middle of Route 422 near Mitchell Hill Road in Summit Township.12:37 a.m. Sunday — Stormie Jean Hindman, 22, of West Sunbury was arrested for driving under the influence at Route 8 and Evans Road in Butler Township.Sunday — Four people were arrested for drunken driving during DUI patrols between Saturday and Sunday in the county. Police also made two drug arrests and issued 13 traffic tickets and 12 warnings, during the weekend detail.8:30 p.m. Saturday — Jonathan Gall, 21, of Butler lost control of his vehicle when another vehicle crossed into his lane of traffic. Gall's vehicle then crashed into a telephone junction box and utility pole along Spithaler School Road in Forward Township. Police said the unidentified vehicle did not stop following the crash.Saturday — Corinne Thomas, no age given, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Red Dog Lane in Center Township.3:55 p.m. Friday — A16-year-old girl was cited for a stop sign violation after her car collided with a pickup truck at Prairie and Main streets in Harrisville.Police did not identify the girl, who suffered minor injuries. Paul Hays, no age given, of Wampum, Lawrence County, was driving the pickup.Tuesday — Personal documents and $300 were taken between 11:30 a.m. May 27 and 11 a.m. Tuesday in a burglary at the Five Oaks Lane home of Jeremy Booher in Washington Township.
Friday — An 18-year-old Sligo woman reported that she was raped between 11 p.m. Thursday and 1 a.m. Friday behind a beer distributorship in Rimersburg, Clarion County. A40-year-old man, whom police did not identify, is a suspect in the case that remains under investigation.State Police, Kittanning4 p.m. Friday — Vans driven by Claire Pingree, 38, of North Huntingdon, Westmoreland County, and Robert Schlagel Jr., 30, of Butler collided on Route 28 in Harmar Township, Allegheny County. Police cited Pingree for driving too fast for conditions.6:39 a.m. Tuesday — A pickup truck driven by Barbara Smith, 53, of Ford City hit a deer on Route 28 in South Buffalo Township, Armstrong County.State Police, Mercer3:25 a.m. Sunday — Zachary Cameron, 22, of Mercer was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car struck a guardrail and cement traffic barrier on Interstate 79 in Springfield Township, Mercer County. Jeremy Husband, 22, of Mercer, a passenger in the car, suffered minor injuries.12:21 a.m. Saturday — Scottie Cameron, 34, of Mercer was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Spring Road near Route 208 in Springfield Township, Mercer County.
8:23 p.m. Saturday — AButler man was seriously injured when he was thrown out of the pickup truck he was driving that collided with a car at Route 422 and Young Road in Slippery Rock Township.Stephen Wiles, 20, was flown by medical helicopter to Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh; his condition was not known this morning. Police said Wiles was not wearing a seat belt.Richard Dillinger, 81, of New Castle, who was driving the car, and a passenger, Lois Dillinger, 74, of New Castle, were treated for minor injuries at Jameson Hospital in New Castle.
