Stamm 50th anniversary

The Stamms in 1958

Leroy and Alice Stamm of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner Thursday at Hoss's Steak and Sea House in Grove City followed by an open house given by their children Saturday at the youth center of First Baptist Church in Butler.

Stamm married the former Alice Hoover on Nov. 13, 1958, at the First Baptist Church manse.

They have three children, Clarence Stamm, Robert Stamm Sr. and Margie Cumberland, all of Butler.

They also have nine grandchildren.

Stamm is retired from 50 years of working as a truck owner and operator and still drives for John Jerich Jr. He enjoys NASCARand stock car racing, camping, games, watching his grandchildren play sports, and listening to country gospel and classic country music.

Mrs. Stamm is a retired nursing assistant from Butler Memorial Hospital. She is a homemaker and enjoys cooking, baking, camping, games, watching her grandchildren play sports and watching the Steelers and the Penguins. She is a member of the Moniteau Extension.The Stamms are active members of First Baptist Church and the Berean Sunday school class.
