Patricia 'Pat' Yates
Patricia “Pat” Yates, 77, of Harrisburg passed away Tuesday in Frey Village, Lutheran Home.
Formerly of Irwin and Butler, she was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Pat was active in the Democratic Party and was a devoted fan of her beloved Steelers and Penguins.
She retired from Nationwide Insurance.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert Yates of Harrisburg; her children, Lynda Moreno of Camp Hill, Laurel Yates, David Yates and Michelle Mortimer of Harrisburg and Cheryl Yates of Reading; her grandchildren, Melissa Moreno of Doylestown, Manny Moreno of Butler and Julie Cramer, Dave Yates, Beth Yates, Hillary Hanwell and Emily Hanwell of Harrisburg; her great-grandchildren, Madison, Balin and Brydon of Doylestown and Emma and Grace of Butler; her brother, Richard Strojan of Irwin; and her sister, Carol DeTriquet of Chesapeake, Va.
She was preceded in death by her son, Randy Yates; and her parents, Joseph and Josephine Strojan of Irwin.
<B>YATES</B> — A funeral service for Patricia “Pat” Yates, who died Tuesday. Jan. 11, 2011, will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the <B>Neill Funeral Home</B>, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg, with the Rev. Daniel Powell officiating. A viewing will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, from 9 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home.
