CHRIST COMMUNITY U.M.Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, will begin its 40th anniversary celebration during weekend worship services. The Rev. Thomas Bickerton, resident bishop of the Western Pennsylvania United Methodist Church, will lead the Sunday services.His Kids and Joyful Voices children's choirs will provide music and the Chancel Choir will perform at the 11 a.m. Sunday service. Previous pastors and their wives will be recognized for their contributions, and a video slide presentation will feature significant events in the church's history.Following the worship services, a dinner will be held at the Butler County Community College Convocation Center.

The dinner and gifts are for the children of the families who use the Covenant Cupboard Food Bank.The food bank is requesting donations of peanut butter and jelly during November.
