James R. Endfinger

Endfinger

James R. Endfinger, 72, of Reich Avenue, Butler, died at 7:40 p.m. Wednesday in Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Aug. 1, 1937, in Pell City, Ala., he was the son of the late James Manuel Endfinger and Cora Pearl (Meads) Endfinger.

Mr. Endfinger was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service at Redondo Beach, Calif., for 32 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Butler, and he served in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Endfinger is survived by his wife, Emma L. Endfinger who he married March 17, 1958; one daughter, Julie West and her husband, David, of Butler; one grandson, Joshua West of Butler; one sister, Dean Garner of Cropwell, Ala.; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Endfinger was preceded in death by one sister and his parents.

<B>ENDFINGER</B> — Friends of James R. Endfinger, who died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler. Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church of Butler with Pastor Dave Maitland of the First Baptist Church of Butler officiating.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.Information and a private guest book are available at www.thompson-miller.com.
