Endfinger

James R. Endfinger, 72, of Reich Avenue, Butler, died at 7:40 p.m. Wednesday in Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Aug. 1, 1937, in Pell City, Ala., he was the son of the late James Manuel Endfinger and Cora Pearl (Meads) Endfinger.

Mr. Endfinger was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service at Redondo Beach, Calif., for 32 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Butler, and he served in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Endfinger is survived by his wife, Emma L. Endfinger who he married March 17, 1958; one daughter, Julie West and her husband, David, of Butler; one grandson, Joshua West of Butler; one sister, Dean Garner of Cropwell, Ala.; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Endfinger was preceded in death by one sister and his parents.

<B>ENDFINGER</B> — Friends of James R. Endfinger, who died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler.
