12:12 p.m. Monday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Cheryl Sanson, 53, of 543 Mercer Road and an ambulance driven by Garry Kelly, 48, of 106 First St. collided at Mercer and West Penn streets. The emergency lights and siren of the Butler Ambulance Service ambulance were on at the time of the collision.2:14 a.m. Saturday - Two men were arrested on drug-related and other charges following a traffic stop in the city. Charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and underage drinking were Kevin Thompson, 18, of 426 W. Diamond St. and Adam Lees, 19, of 109 Ann Arbor Lane. Thompson is also charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana.April 19 - Two teenagers were arrested for allegedly stealing a mini-bike for sale at Nagel's Car Wash on South Monroe Street. Charged with retail theft, conspiracy and receiving stolen property are Edward Kelso Jr., 18, of Pittsburgh; and Joseph Guadagni, 19, of 124 Braethorn Drive.
1:10 a.m. Monday - Christopher Otto, 19, of Butler was arrested for hiding his 17-year-old girlfriend from authorities after the teen was reported as a runaway.Police found the girl at the Beacon Lite Trailer Park in Center Township. Otto faces charges of interference with the custody of a child and concealing the whereabouts of a child.The girl, meanwhile, became combative with and struck troopers who were attempting to remove her from the mobile home where she was hiding, police said.She was charged in juvenile court with simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment, and turned over the county's juvenile court service's office. The girl remains at a Lawrence County detention center.Otto, in a separate case, along with another man is accused of breaking into a home Monday night at the same trailer court and taking a BB gun and several other undisclosed household items. The items were later recovered at the suspects' home.Otto and Travis Bruno, 18, of Butler face charges of burglary, conspiracy, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief in the case.Saturday - A fence post, several Howard Hanna real estate signs and two signs owned by the state Department of Environmental Protection were vandalized between 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday at a Bernadette Lane home in Venango Township.
12:13 a.m. Friday - An unidentified vehicle, possibly a silver sedan, struck two mailboxes and sheared off a utility pole along Center Church Road in Pine Township, Mercer County and did not stop following the crash.
