• "Shake 'N Seuss" will be staged by BCCC's Kids on Campus twice Saturday in the Succop Theater on campus. Shows will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. The show, featuring original musical adaptations of works by Dr. Seuss and William Shakespeare, was created and directed by Kelly McIntyre with an original score by McIntyre and Diane Beckstead.

"Shake 'N Seuss" is suitable for all ages. Both performances will have an intermission. Tickets are $10 and proceeds will benefit local autism service charities and families living with autism. To reserve tickets, call 724-284-8505.

• Author and poet Dr. Philip Terman will deliver a student workshop from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 19 and read from his new book of poems, "Rabbis of the Air," from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Succop Conservancy on Airport Road. The book reading is free and open to the public. Event attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and enjoy a cookie and punch reception following the reading. Terman, professor of English at Clarion University, will be signing copies of his book, which will be available for purchase at The Conservancy for $16. Copies are also available at the BC3 Bookstore.

SRU's sixth annual Hispanic Month and Día de la Raza celebrations runs through Oct. 23.Teodora, a TV journalist from Bogota, Columbia, will lecture about "Investigative Journalism in Latin America" at 4 p.m. Monday in Spotts World Culture Building Auditorium. A reception will follow.Chávez-Silverman presents "Killer Crónicas: Bilingual Adventures in the Americas" at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the University Room of North Hall.The salsa band Azucar will perform from 9 p.m. to midnight Oct. 19 in Carruth Rizza Hall.

• Pitt hosts the thunderous beats and dynamic movement of master musicians Takumi Kato and Ryo Shiobara and musician and professor Pandle Collaros at 8 p.m. Saturday in the Assembly Room of the William Pitt Union, 3959 Fifth Ave. in Oakland. A 1983 Obie Award winning play, "Top Girls" examines the games women play to establish successful careers and whether it's truly worth the battle.Performances will be held at 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and at 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
