Robert H. Morrow Sr.

Robert H. Morrow Sr. was called home to be with his Lord Friday.

He was born Aug. 7, 1922, in Concord Township, the son of Violet Loraine Black and Herbert Matthew Morrow.

He was the devoted husband of 61 years to Patricia Sieberkrob Morrow with whom he made his life on Irene Drive in Harborcreek Township, Erie County. He was the loving father of Susan P. Resinger and her husband, Larry, of Harborcreek Township and Robert H. Morrow Jr. and his wife, Lynne, of Fort Myers, Fla.

He is further survived by his four adoring grandchildren, Jennifer Resinger and Heather Morrow McClung and her husband, Shaun, all of Riverview, Fla., Andrew Resinger and his wife, Lea, of Harborcreek Township and Joshua Morrow, of Pittsburgh; and two precious great-granddaughters, Ryann McClung and Kendall Resinger.

He also is survived by two sisters, Donna Hutchison and Rachel Linamen; three brothers, Joseph, Darrell and Quay Morrow, all of Butler County; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Richard Lee Morrow.

He moved to Erie in 1941.

He served his country as a staff sergeant in World War II in the Army Air Corps in France.

He was employed for 43 years at the Erie General Electric Co. in the locomotive division, where he retired in 1985.

He was an avid sportsman and hunter.

He was well known as a kind, caring "gentle man" and a gentleman and a good friend and neighbor. Hard work, his faith, his family and friends were the things that mattered most to him throughout his 86 years. He was certainly welcomed home with the words "well done my good and faithful servant."

<B>MORROW</B> — A celebration of the life of Robert H. Morrow Sr., who died Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, was held today at the Harborcreek Presbyterian Church. Burial was at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.Memorials may be made to the Harborcreek Presbyterian Church, 6724 Buffalo Road, Harborcreek, PA 16421.Arrangements were handled by the <B>G.R. Bailey Funeral Home</B>, Lawrence Park, Erie County.
