Pair find themselves at odds in FTF closer

Freeport Theatre Festival's production of Rennick Steele's “Tusks and Tails,” a political tango between a happily married couple, features Sharon Riffer as Miriam O'Leary and Jeffrey Parker as Robert O'Leary. The comedy opens at 8 p.m. Friday.

ALLEGHENY TWP, Westmoreland County — Freeport Theatre Festival finishes its 23rd summer season with Rennick Steele’s comedy “Tusks and Tails.” The season’s second and final production will be staged at 8 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday as well as Aug. 17 to 19 and 24 to 26.

“Tusks and Tails” is the humorous story of a husband and wife who love each other, but one is a Republican and the other is a Democrat. They get along fine until they find themselves on the opposite sides of a political campaign.

Tickets are $12 for general admission and $10 for senior citizens and students.

A pre-theater dinner is available. Call 724-295-2298. Dinner seating is at 5 and 5:30 p.m. Reservations are required.

The theater is on the Steele Farm on White Cloud Road, two miles south of Freeport off Route 356.
