Jennifer Voit, 71, of Slippery Rock passed away on Monday, Oct. 16, 2023.

She was born in Pittsburgh on May 7, 1952, and was the daughter to the late Joseph and Jean (Sanner) Martin.

Jennifer got her doctorate of science at Robert Morris University, master of arts at Duquesne University and bachelor of arts at the University of Pittsburgh and earned a “Triumph Over Adversity” award from Robert Morris. She was known for being loving, loyal and kind. She was the world’s best mother, nana and friend. Jennifer was a force to be reckoned with being street and book smart. She loved her family deeply, especially her grandkids. Jennifer worked as a professor for local colleges and universities.

Jennifer married her high school sweetheart, Dennis Voit, on July 1, 1976; she was the mother of Lisa Marie (Mick) Kendrick, Christina (Josh) Green and Autum (Donny) Copper; sister of Donna Medvan, Joseph Martin, Thomas Martin and Jean Clever; and grandmother of Maddison, who was her best friend and the light of her life, Mallory, Maizie, Maeryn, Max, Miles, Jackson and Ethan. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and her grandpuppy, Bear.

VOIT — Services for Jennifer Voit, who died Monday, Oct. 16, 2023, will be held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at All Saints Parish, St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church.
