I quit counting my own letters to the editor after the 100th letter. I am new to this forum, but had to add a note on your "about legalized drugs" letter.

First, if you really do think Dr. Amesh is not really a doctor at all, you should write the A.M.A., he would be writing us from jail, if what you imply is true.

Second, Don't you think your use of exclaimation points was excessive? I counted 28 in your letter. That's screaming, and that says a lot more than your words did. It denotes anger and frustration, and has no real place in an adult conversation. The same stands true for self-pity.

Third, I take 6 different medications a day at different times, as I am a disabled vietnam-era vet. That's not a "problem," that's called a "drug regimen," and is a wonder of our modern society and technology.
