Daubner 50th anniversary
Joyce and Butch Daubner of Sarver celebrated 50 years of marriage with an open house March 5 at the Saxonburg VFC Ballroom.
They renewed their vows with their daughter, Jody Pflueger, mayor of Saxonburg, officiating. Their daughter Jaymee Rowe and her husband Alan and their son Robert Daubner and his wife Brenda served as attendants.
Daubner married the former Joyce Block on March 11, 1961, in Saxonburg Memorial Church
They have three children, Jody Pflueger, Robert Daubner and Jaymee Rowe, all of Saxonburg.
They also have six grandchildren.
Daubner is retired from AK Steel. He is active in the Saxonburg VFC, where he serves as fire police captain.
Mrs. Daubner operated a beauty shop in their home for more than 30 years and continues to work in the beauty shop at Outlook Point one day a week.
They both enjoy camping and spending time with their family.
