SR girls soccer rolls past Sharpsville
Emily Plyer scored our goals and added an assist, Brielle Jordan tallied three goals and an assist as the Slippery Rock girls soccer team rolled past Sharpsville, 11-1.
Aiva Reich scored two goals for the Rockets with Brooke Arblaster netting a goal and assist, Shareen Thangiah one goal. Ella Thimons had an assist.
Football
Owen Bish caught a 23-yard touchdown pass from Brody Dittman to pull Union/A-C Valley with 15-6 in the second quarter, but Port Allegany (6-1) pulled away from there for a 44-6 victory on Saturday.
Aiden Bliss and Peyton Stiles both scored three touchdowns for the Gators.
Dittman passed for 231 yards for the Falcon Knights, but was intercepted four times. Zac Cooper caught seven passes for 98 yards while Luke Wilson led Union/A-C Valley with 17 tackles.
The Falcon Knights (3-4, 3-2) visit Smethport on Friday.
Riverview 40, Summit Academy 18 — The Knights (0-7, 0-3) trailed 28-0 at halftime before Kimir Robinson had a big second half.
Summit’s Robinson caught touchdown passes of 20 and 50 yards from Mason Ducik in the second half. He also returned an interception 59 yards for a score.
Cross Country
Knoch’s Ava Santora finished second overall for Knoch’s girls at the John Sample Invitational, held at Grove City Memorial Park. The Knights’ Brooke Galcik finished 13th.
