Knoch girls soccer nets win

After a scoreless first half, Knoch’s girls soccer team scored three times in the final 40 minutes for a 3-1 home win over Ambridge on Saturday.

Macrina Robb opened the scoring by finishing her own deflected shot. She scored a second goal after Grace Hensch played the ball behind the defense. After Ambridge pulled within one, Emma Bayer put the game away for the Knights by scoring off a cross from Bella Oskin.

Girls Volleyball

Bella Hernandez tallied eight kills, four blocks and two assists, but Moniteau dropped a 3-2 decision to Cranberry. Match scores were 25-23, 25-14, 17-25, 23-25, 15-10.

Marissa Pry had nine kills, three aces and three blocks, Davina Pry eight kills, two aces and three blocks for the Warriors.

Girls Tennis

Seneca Valley swept the doubles matches in defeating North Catholic, 3-2, on Friday. The Raiders improved to 9-5 on the season.
