Margaret S. Sheppeck, 97, of Butler, formerly of Renfrew, passed away Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023, at Concordia at the Orchard.

Born in Butler, on Feb. 18, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Stephen M. and Ludvika M. Zhardnik Kovach.

Margaret was a homemaker.

She was a member of All Saints Parish, Saint Conrad Roman Catholic Church.

She worked for many years at the polls on Election Day. She enjoyed knitting, and she was an avid bowler who bowled well into her 80s.

She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Sue Murphy and her husband, Dan, of Pickerington, Ohio, Patricia Tidbold, of Ashgrove, Queensland, Australia, and Becky Gutherie and her husband, Dan, of Butler; two sisters, Agnes Turbovich, of Ohio, and Theresa Fowler, of Pittsburgh; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank F. Sheppeck, who passed away Jan. 11, 1958; six brothers; and two sisters.

SHEPPECK — Friends of Margaret S. Sheppeck, who died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023, will be received from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday at MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 429 Center Ave., Butler.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon Monday at All Saints Parish, Saint Conrad Roman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road, Butler, with the Rev. William D. Wuenschel officiating.

For those unable to attend, Mass will be livestreamed at www.hvproductions.net/live.

Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to a veterans charity of the donor’s choice.
